Full use is made of electronic technology and a tutorial relationship with the Faculty Mentor who is drawn from a truly outstanding group of professors. Students enrolled in the Human Services Program are practicing professionals working in mental health settings, social service environments, community development agencies, residential care facilities, and private practice. Some are faculty, consultants, and human resources specialists. Many are licensed counselors, social workers, or hold specialty licenses in chemical dependency, etc. The Academy commitment to improving society and its institutions (families, communities, schools, and the workplace) is especially attractive to students entering the Human services Program. Graduates strive to make a difference in improving social conditions within their sphers of influence. |
